Abuse & Assault
What if the shame you are carrying belongs to what happened to you, not to who you are.
This is some of the most sacred work I do at A Wholesome Me.
This kind of trauma is carried in ways that are deeply personal, often invisible, and frequently misunderstood. It can live in the body long after the mind has tried to move on. It can shape the way you see yourself, how safe you feel in relationships, and how connected you feel to your own sense of worth and identity.
There is no pressure to talk about what happened before you are ready. In many cases the most powerful healing happens without ever needing to recount the details of your experience. I work with what your mind and body are holding, at a pace that feels safe, within a space where you are completely believed and unconditionally supported.
You might recognize yourself here if you:
- ♡Carry shame, self-blame, or the quiet belief that what happened was somehow your fault
- ♡Struggle to feel safe in your body or in intimate relationships
- ♡Find yourself minimizing what happened or convincing yourself it was not that bad
- ♡Certain people, places, sounds, or situations trigger a response you cannot always explain
- ♡Have never told anyone the full story because it has never felt safe enough to do so
- ♡Feel disconnected from your sense of worth, your identity, or who you were before
- ♡Have tried to move on but your body and nervous system simply will not let you
You are believed here. You are not defined by what happened to you. And healing is absolutely possible.
